State Wide Pairs

2002

Each year the FABC sponsors the State Wide Pairs. This event runs for three sessions over three weeks, early in August. Hands are provided together with a booklet, which features brief commentary on each deal for perusal at the completion of the session.

The event is then scored across all participating clubs and session and overall winners determined.

Prizes include cash to the overall place-getters down to fifth position, prize vouchers from the Bridge Shop for all session winners and runners-up, annual subscription to Australian Bridge to the clubs of the session winners and certificates of achievement to the winning pair in each club.

This year The Tonga Bridge Club, keen to compare themselves with players in a bigger pool, played for the first time.
